Educational Qualification
Library & Information Science	B.Sc (First Class) + MLISc (First Class) with UGC-NET qualification in Library & Information Science from a recognized university. Knowledge of digital libraries and bibliographic database creation required.
Computer Science Stream	BE/B.Tech (First Class) in Computer Science & Engineering with valid GATE score OR BE/B.Tech (First Class) + ME/M.Tech (First Class) in Computer Science.
Desirable Skills	Advanced Java Programming and RDBMS knowledge preferred.
Selection Process	Selection will be through Walk-in Interview only. No written examination.

Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has released a job notification for Junior Research Fellow in Defence Scientific Information & Documentation Centre (DESIDOC). In this notification, Junior Research Fellow should have B.Sc (First Class) + MLISc (First Class) & UGC-NET qualification in Library & Information Science from a UGC recognized university. Proficiency in digital library concepts. Bibliographic database creation. Junior Research Fellow should have passed BE/B.Tech. (First Class) in Computer Science & Engineering from a UGC recognized university with qualifying GATE score. (OR) Should have passed BE/B.Tech. (First Class) in Computer Science & Engineering and ME/M.Tech (First Class) in Computer Science from a UGC recognized engineering university. Desirable. Advanced Java programming; RDBMS qualified candidates can apply.

Age Limit The maximum age limit is 28 years as on the date of interview. Stipend: JRFs will get a stipend of Rs. 37,000/- per month and HRA as per DRDO norms. Junior Research Fellows are not eligible for any other benefits like DA, CCA, bonus, retirement benefits etc. However, they are eligible to avail medical facilities themselves only through MI room facility available on campus. Procedure for Attending Interview: Eligible/qualified candidates may appear for interview at the venue on the date and time mentioned below.

Candidates appearing for the interview should submit complete bio-data, a recent passport size photograph should be pasted on the top right corner of the first page. Candidates should bring original certificates (for verification) along with one set of copies of all degree/educational qualification certificates/mark sheet/experience certificate etc. Candidates working in Government/PSUs/Autonomous Institutions must submit NOC from their present employer.
