Internet Desk: The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced schedule, which is being conducted for admission in prestigious IITs across the country for the academic year 2026-27, has been released. The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has stated in the schedule that this exam will be conducted on May 17. Now.. the related registration process will start on April 23. That is, the advanced online registrations will start the day after the final results of JEE Mains are announced. However.. applications from foreign students are being accepted from April 6. The final deadline has been set for May 2. Candidates can visit the official website jeeadv.ac.in and apply.

The JEE Advanced exam will be held on May 17 in online mode for 2 papers in 2 shifts. Paper 1 will be conducted from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Paper 2 will be conducted from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. The results will be declared on June 1 at 10:00 am. The JESA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) counseling process will begin from June 2. Those who have passed Advanced will have the opportunity to register to write the Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT 2026) from 10:00 am on June 1 to 5:00 pm on June 2. The AAT 2026 exam will be held on June 4 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. AAT results will be released on June 7th.

Eligibility criteria:
Based on merit in JEE Mains (Only candidates who rank among the top 2,50,000 in JEE Mains 2026 Paper 1 are eligible to register for JEE Advanced)
Each candidate can appear for JEE Advanced a maximum of two times. Both attempts must be two years apart.
Eligibility: Candidates must have appeared in class 12 (or equivalent) for the first time in 2025 or 2026. They must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as subjects.
Candidates who have previously taken admission in any IIT are currently ineligible to appear for JEE Advanced.
JEE Advanced 2026 will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) format at designated centres across India. The question paper will be available in both English and Hindi. The rank obtained in this will be used to provide admissions to B.Tech in 23 IITs across the country.
