- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 27 Years

- Candidates should be born between 02/08/1999 and 01/08/2008.
- SC / ST Candidates: 5 Years upper age relaxation.
- OBC Candidates: 3 Years upper age relaxation.
- PwBD Candidates: 10 Years upper age relaxation.
- PwBD + OBC Candidates: 13 Years upper age relaxation.
- PwBD + SC / ST Candidates: 15 Years upper age relaxation.
- Ex-Servicemen and other eligible categories will receive age relaxation as per Government of India rules.

| Educational Qualification |
Candidates must possess the required educational qualification on or before 07/10/2026.
- For LDC / JSA and DEO / DEO Grade 'A' posts except the specifically identified departments / ministries: 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.
- For DEO / DEO Grade 'A' in the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Staff Selection Commission and Ministry of Culture: 12th Standard pass in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject.
- Candidates appearing in the 12th examination can apply, provided they obtain the essential qualification on or before 07/10/2026.

- For other DEO / DEO Grade 'A' posts: 8,000 key depressions per hour.
- Skill Test / Typing Test is of qualifying nature.

SSC has notified approximately 2,536 tentative vacancies for the CHSL 2026 examination. The final number of vacancies may change after the concerned Ministries / Departments provide and update their vacancy details. SSC does not collect State-wise or Zone-wise vacancies.

SSC CHSL 10+2 Recruitment 2026: Selection Process
- Tier-I Computer Based Examination.
- Tier-II Computer Based Examination.
- Computer Knowledge Test in Tier-II.
- Skill Test / Typing Test in Tier-II, as applicable to the post.
- Document Verification.
- Final merit is prepared on the basis of the applicable Tier-II marks, subject to qualifying the mandatory sections and post-specific skill / typing requirements.
- There is no interview in the SSC CHSL selection process.

SSC CHSL 2026 Exam Pattern
- Tier-I: 100 Questions / 200 Marks.
- Tier-I Subjects: English Language, General Intelligence, Quantitative Aptitude and General Awareness.
- Tier-I Duration: 60 Minutes with sectional timing.
- Tier-I Negative Marking: 0.50 Mark for each wrong answer.
- Tier-II Section-I: Mathematical Abilities and Reasoning & General Intelligence – 60 Questions / 180 Marks.
- Tier-II Section-II: English Language & Comprehension and General Awareness – 60 Questions / 180 Marks.
- Tier-II Section-III: Computer Knowledge Test – 15 Questions / 45 Marks, qualifying in nature.
- Tier-II Section-IV: Skill Test / Typing Test, qualifying in nature.
- Tier-II negative marking: 1 Mark for each wrong answer in Sections I, II and III.

- Visit the official SSC website.
- Complete the required One-Time Registration (OTR) on the new SSC portal if you do not already have a valid OTR.
- Log in using your SSC registration credentials.
- Select Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination, 2026.
- Read the complete notification carefully.
- Enter your personal, educational and other required details.
- Select the applicable posts and preferences.
- Upload the required photograph, signature and other documents, wherever requested.
- Pay the application fee of ₹100/-, if applicable.
- Check the complete application form carefully before final submission.
- Submit the application on or before 07/10/2026 up to 11:00 PM.
- Complete fee payment by 08/10/2026 up to 11:00 PM, if applicable.
- Save or print the final submitted application for future reference.
