Khosla believes AI systems are improving so quickly that they may soon perform many professional tasks better than humans. Activities such as accounting, software development, customer support, medical analysis, architecture, and even sales operations could increasingly be handled by AI agents.
He explained that the traditional IT outsourcing model, which has supported millions of jobs in India, may face major disruption as companies shift toward automation and AI-driven services. Instead of focusing only on service-based jobs, he advised Indian youth and companies to move toward building AI-based products and technologies.
Khosla also emphasized the importance of developing independent AI systems rather than depending entirely on technology from countries like the United States or China. He predicted that by 2030–2035, AI could make services such as education, healthcare, and legal assistance widely accessible at very low cost.
Experts say such rapid technological change could create both opportunities and challenges. While some jobs may disappear, new roles related to AI innovation, management, and system development are expected to grow. Governments may also need to introduce policies to manage employment transitions in the AI era.
