The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the postponement of Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations scheduled for March 2, 2026. The decision was taken considering the unstable situation currently prevailing in several West Asian countries and keeping student safety as the top priority.

According to CBSE officials, examinations have been postponed in multiple countries including Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. The board clarified that new examination dates will be announced soon after reviewing the situation. Authorities will reassess conditions on March 3 before taking a decision regarding exams planned for March 5.
CBSE also warned students and parents about a fake notice circulating on social media claiming that exams were cancelled completely. The board confirmed that this information is false and advised everyone to rely only on official announcements published on CBSE’s website.
This year, more than 43 lakh students are appearing for CBSE board examinations across India and in 26 countries worldwide. Students are advised to stay calm, continue preparation, and regularly check official updates.
