According to outage tracking platform DownDetector, complaints started increasing around 9:00 AM, with users reporting connection failures and delayed loading. Many users also shared their experience on social media platform X, saying they tried logging in multiple times but the service was not responding.
So far, Meta or WhatsApp has not released any official statement regarding the disruption. Similar incidents have happened earlier as well. Experts say such outages usually occur due to internal server problems, cloud API disruptions, or temporary backend failures affecting web connections.
Technical factors like browser cache issues, VPN usage, or unstable internet connections may also create login problems for some users. While the mobile WhatsApp app continued working normally for most people, the web version faced temporary interruptions.
Users are advised to clear browser cache, check internet connectivity, or try another browser while waiting for an official fix.
