Aadhaar Services Download, Correction and Status Details
Service	Details
Download e-Aadhaar	Aadhaar holders can download their electronic Aadhaar using the official myAadhaar portal. Mobile OTP authentication is required and the download service is free.
Masked Aadhaar	Masked Aadhaar can be downloaded online. It displays only the last four digits of the Aadhaar number.
Address Correction	Address can be updated online through myAadhaar using valid Proof of Address documents and registered mobile authentication. Address update can also be completed through the Aadhaar App.
Name Correction	Name correction or name change is handled through an Aadhaar Enrolment/Update Centre with the required supporting documents. Applicable update rules and limits apply.
Date of Birth Correction	Date of Birth update is subject to UIDAI rules and supporting-document requirements and is generally handled through an Aadhaar Enrolment/Update Centre.
Gender Correction	Gender update is available subject to UIDAI rules and prescribed update limits. Visit an Aadhaar centre when the change cannot be completed through an online service.
Mobile Number Update	Mobile number update can be performed through an Aadhaar Enrolment/Update Centre. UIDAI's current Aadhaar App also supports mobile-number updates through its prescribed authentication process.
Photo / Fingerprint / Iris Update	Biometric updates, including photograph, fingerprints and iris, must be completed at an Aadhaar Seva Kendra or Aadhaar Enrolment/Update Centre.
Check Aadhaar Update Status	Applicants can track their Aadhaar update request through the official myAadhaar services using the acknowledgement/request details provided during submission.
Check Aadhaar Enrolment Status	New Aadhaar enrolment status can be checked using the Enrolment ID (EID), along with the date and time shown on the acknowledgement slip.
Total Vacancy: Not Applicable – Citizen Identity Service Aadhaar is an identity service provided by UIDAI and does not involve recruitment vacancies.
How to Download Aadhaar Card Visit the official UIDAI myAadhaar portal. Select the Download Aadhaar service. Enter your Aadhaar Number, Enrolment ID or VID as applicable. Enter the security code shown on the screen. Request an OTP on the registered mobile number. Enter the OTP and complete authentication. Download the e-Aadhaar PDF. Enter the required password to open the downloaded PDF.
How to Correct / Update Aadhaar Details Visit the official myAadhaar portal or use the Aadhaar App for services currently supported online. Login with your Aadhaar number and registered mobile OTP where required. Select the applicable update service such as Address Update or Document Update. Enter the corrected information carefully. Upload valid supporting documents where required. Check the preview and submit the update request. Complete the prescribed authentication and pay the applicable fee when required. Save the Service Request Number (SRN) / acknowledgement details for status tracking.
How to Check Aadhaar Update Status Open the official myAadhaar website. Select Check Update Status or the relevant request-tracking service. Enter your SRN or other required request details. Complete the required verification. View the current status of your Aadhaar update request.
Important Instructions Use only the official UIDAI and myAadhaar websites for Aadhaar services. e-Aadhaar download requires mobile OTP authentication. Online myAadhaar services currently support address and document update; other demographic or biometric updates may require an Aadhaar centre. Mobile number update is not available through the traditional online update portal and can be completed through an Aadhaar centre or the current Aadhaar App service where supported. Submit only valid documents from UIDAI's accepted-document list. Keep your SRN/EID or acknowledgement slip safely until the request is completed. Aadhaar number remains the same after an update. UIDAI advises Aadhaar holders to update their documents periodically, including at least once in 10 years when applicable.
