Age Limit

Minimum Age: 18 Years.

Maximum Age: Maximum age varies according to gender and category under the notified Madhya Pradesh recruitment rules. The general upper-age limit is 33 years for unreserved male candidates, with prescribed relaxations for female and reserved-category candidates.

Age Calculation Date: 06 October 2026.

Constable (GD) – Special Armed Force 700 Posts. Male candidates only. Educational qualification: 10th pass under the 10+2 system / Higher Secondary or equivalent; ST candidates can apply with 8th-pass qualification as prescribed.
Constable (GD) – Except Special Armed Force 6,800 Posts. Male and female candidates can apply. Educational qualification: 10th pass under the 10+2 system / Higher Secondary or equivalent; ST candidates can apply with 8th-pass qualification as prescribed.
MP Domicile Requirement Applicants who are not permanent residents of Madhya Pradesh are eligible for the Open / Unreserved vacancies only, subject to the conditions in the recruitment rules.
Employment Exchange Registration Candidates must have a valid registration with the Madhya Pradesh Employment Office as prescribed in the recruitment rules.
Nationality The candidate must be an Indian citizen.

Educational Qualification

  • General / SC / OBC candidates: Passed Class 10th under the 10+2 system, Higher Secondary or equivalent examination from a recognised board.
  • ST candidates: Passed Class 8th or equivalent examination as prescribed in the recruitment rules.
  • Additional conditions relating to Madhya Pradesh domicile and employment-office registration apply.

Physical Standards

  • Other than Special Armed Force – Male (UR/SC/OBC): Height 168 cm; Chest 81 cm unexpanded and 86 cm expanded.
  • Other than Special Armed Force – Male (ST): Height 160 cm; Chest 76 cm unexpanded and 81 cm expanded.
  • Other than Special Armed Force – Female: Height 155 cm.
  • Special Armed Force – Male (UR/OBC): Height 168 cm; Chest 79 cm unexpanded and 84 cm expanded.
  • Special Armed Force – Gorkha/Garhwali/Kumaoni: Height 157 cm; Chest 79 cm unexpanded and 84 cm expanded.
  • Special Armed Force – Maratha/SC/ST: Height 165 cm; Chest 79 cm unexpanded and 84 cm expanded.
  • Where chest measurement applies, minimum 5 cm expansion is required.
  • No relaxation in physical measurement standards is provided under the prescribed rules.

Exam Pattern

  • Exam Mode: Computer Based Test (CBT)

  • Exam Duration: 2 Hours
  • Question Type: Objective / Multiple Choice
  • General Knowledge & Reasoning: 40 Marks
  • Intellectual Ability & Mental Aptitude: 30 Marks
  • Science & Simple Arithmetic: 30 Marks
  • Correct Answer: 1 Mark
  • Negative Marking: No
  • Question Level: Class 8 level as prescribed in the rule book

Physical Proficiency Test (PPT)

  • PPT carries a maximum of 100 marks.
  • 800 Metre Running
  • Long Jump
  • Shot Put
  • The scoring standards are different for male and female candidates.
  • Final merit is prepared using the written examination and physical proficiency test marks as prescribed.

Selection Process

  • Online application and profile registration.
  • Computer Based Written Examination – 100 Marks.
  • Physical Measurement Test (PMT).
  • Physical Proficiency Test (PPT) – 100 Marks.
  • Document Verification.
  • Medical Examination.
  • Final selection and unit allocation according to the notified merit and recruitment rules.

Salary

Pay Scale: ₹19,500 – ₹62,000/-.

Other allowances and benefits are provided according to the applicable Madhya Pradesh Government service rules.

  8. Pay the MPESB examination fee and Police Department examination fee.

How to Download Admit Card

  1. Visit the official MPESB website after the admit card is released.
  2. Open the Police Constable GD Recruitment Test 2026 admit card section.
  3. Enter the required application/profile details.
  4. Download the TAC / Admit Card.
  5. Check your examination date, shift, reporting time and centre details.
  6. Print the admit card and carry the required original identity proof to the examination centre.
