Certificate / Service Details
Income Certificate Residents of Uttar Pradesh can apply for an Income Certificate through e-District. The certificate is used as proof of income for scholarships, government benefits, reservations and other eligible purposes.
Caste Certificate Eligible residents of Uttar Pradesh can apply for a Caste Certificate through the online e-District service. The certificate is commonly used for reservation, education, employment and government schemes.
Residential / Domicile Certificate The Residential or Domicile Certificate verifies permanent residence in Uttar Pradesh and may be required for state government jobs, education admissions and state-specific benefits.
Application Status Applicants can check the current status of an e-District application by entering the Application Number on the official portal.
Certificate Verification Issued certificates can be verified online using the Application Number and Certificate ID. The official portal displays the verification result after the details are submitted.
Certificate Download After approval, the digitally signed certificate can be downloaded through the registered citizen account / e-Sathi portal as provided by e-District.
CSC / Jan Seva Kendra Citizens who do not wish to apply directly online can use an authorised CSC / Jan Seva Kendra for e-District certificate services.

Documents Required

  • Aadhaar Number / Aadhaar Card as applicable.
  • Passport-size photograph.
  • Self-declaration / prescribed declaration.
  • Address or identity proof as required by the selected service.
  • Supporting documents prescribed for Income, Caste or Residential Certificate.
  • Additional documents may be required depending on the service and applicant's circumstances.

How to Apply Online

  1. Visit the official Uttar Pradesh e-District website.
  2. Open the Citizen Login / e-Sathi option.
  3. Register as a new citizen if you do not already have an account.
  4. Login using your registered credentials.
  5. Select the required service such as Income Certificate, Caste Certificate or Residential Certificate.
  6. Enter your personal and address details carefully.
  7. Upload the required photograph, declaration and supporting documents.
  8. Pay the applicable service fee shown by the portal.
  9. Submit the application and save the Application Number.

How to Check Application Status

  1. Visit the official e-District UP website.
  2. Select Application Status.
  3. Enter your Application Number.
  4. Click the Search option.
  5. Your current application status will be displayed on the screen.

How to Verify UP Certificate Online

  1. Open the official e-District UP portal.
  2. Select Certificate Verification.
  3. Enter your Application Number.
  4. Enter your Certificate ID.
  5. Click the Search button.
  6. The available certificate details and verification result will be displayed online.

How to Download Certificate

  1. Login to the registered citizen / e-Sathi account.
  2. Open the approved application or issued certificate section.
  3. Select the certificate that has been approved.
  4. Download the digitally signed certificate.
  5. Save the PDF for future use.

Important Instructions

  • Use only the official Uttar Pradesh e-District website for certificate services and verification.
  • For Income, Caste and Residential services, the official e-District FAQ states that Aadhaar is required.
  • Keep your Application Number safely after submitting the application.
  • For certificate verification, keep both the Application Number and Certificate ID available.
  • Uploaded documents cannot be edited, deleted or updated after submission according to the e-District FAQ.
  • If required supporting documents are missing during verification, the application may be rejected.
  • If an application is rejected, applicants may need to complete the required documents/process and submit a fresh application.
  • For certificates that fail online verification, contact the relevant district administration or approving authority with the original certificate.
  • The e-District portal states that photographs should be up to 50 KB and other documents should not exceed 100 KB for the specified upload facility.
