Age Limit Minimum Age: 21 Years as on 01 August 2026. Maximum Age: 37 years for Unreserved Male candidates, 40 years for Unreserved Female and BC/EBC candidates, and 42 years for SC/ST candidates. Applicable relaxation is available as per Bihar Government rules.

Paper I – Secondary Teacher	For teaching Classes 9–10. Candidates generally require Graduation with at least 50% marks in the relevant subject/subject group along with B.Ed. or prescribed equivalent qualification. Subject-wise conditions apply.
Paper II – Senior Secondary Teacher	For teaching Classes 11–12. Candidates generally require Post Graduation with at least 50% marks in the relevant subject along with B.Ed. or prescribed equivalent qualification. Subject-wise conditions apply.
Computer Science – Paper II	Special qualification provisions apply for Computer Science. Eligible qualifications include specified DOEACC, B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science/IT, M.Sc. Computer Science, MCA, B.Sc. Computer Science/BCA with prescribed additional qualifications and other qualifications listed in the notification. B.Ed. is not required for the specified Computer Science pathway.
Reserved Category Candidates	Relaxation in qualifying marks and age is available where prescribed under the applicable Bihar Government / STET rules.
Citizenship	The candidate must be a citizen of India.

Selection / Qualification Process Online registration and application submission. Computer Based STET examination. Candidate must secure the prescribed qualifying marks for the relevant category. Qualified candidates receive eligibility certification as per BSEB rules. STET qualification can be used for eligibility in subsequent teacher recruitment processes where STET qualification is prescribed.
How to Apply Online Visit the official Bihar STET registration portal. Click on New Registration. Register using your name, mobile number and email ID. Login using the generated credentials. Select Paper I, Paper II or both papers as applicable. Select the appropriate teaching subject. Enter personal, educational, category and other required details. Upload the required photograph, signature and supporting documents. Pay the application fee online according to your category and selected paper. Review the application form carefully. Submit the form before 22 September 2026. Download and save the confirmation page and payment receipt.
How to Download Admit Card Visit the official Bihar STET website after the admit card is released. Login using your registration number, User ID and password as required. Open the Admit Card section. Download the Bihar STET 2026 Admit Card PDF. Check your name, photograph, examination date, shift and centre details. Take a printout and carry it along with the required valid photo identity proof.
How to Check Bihar STET Result 2026 Visit the official BSEB STET portal. Click on the STET Result 2026 link after declaration. Enter the required login credentials or roll number details. Submit the details. View your marks and qualifying status. Download and save the result / scorecard for future use.
Important Instructions The Bihar STET 2026 application deadline has been extended to 22 September 2026. Fee payment must also be completed within the prescribed application period. Choose Paper I, Paper II and the subject carefully before final submission. Check the subject-wise eligibility conditions in the official notification because qualifications differ by subject.
